Would think that you now have to register your car in Germany and obtain insurance from a company in Germany??

^ Yeah. I cannot imagine any insurance company carrying you with a foreign address. I'd think it's more likely that a German insurance company would insure you while your car remains in Germany. Did you check into that? I don't see why the car would need to be registered there unless there's a law supporting that. Why would the insurance company care? It doesn't change their point of view.

because there is a few changes i have to do with the car to comply with german car laws - which dont make sense for me to do because the money i spend on the car and insure it over here will make it nearlly double of what i would pay on insurance in the UK for the time i will have the car. Italian companies will insure me but its super expensive.
So thats the reason.. |
