VW USA website TDI Clean Diesel < TDI Clean Diesel & Hybrid < Volkswagen of America suggests 41- 43 hwy is the correct figure.
Older Diesel Golf models, with less weight an fewer emissions controls, did 60/imperial gallon.

![]() 50 mpg is pretty normal for that car. I wouldn't mind one either. The torque is phenominal. It's got plenty of room in it. Just because we drive a "hybrid" doesn't mean we get the best MPG on the road. Diesels are extremely efficient vehicles these days. |
