IMO it was probably more egged on by the way he responded to the criticism. He already knew he was gonna get some negative reaction with those wheels so he should've shrugged it off. If it was my car I would've just laughed and said you're right I know they're rotas but it's just temporary. I don't get all defensive when people don't like a mod I do on my car. The wheels are really the only criticism anyone could have about that incredible build. It is true he had other options though, such as buying used wheels from a forum if he didn't wanna wait. I think it was just more an issue because he obviously has money for "real" wheels. Probably could've been handled better on both sides of that argument though.

I think your onto something here for sure but to be disrespected like that was uncalled for, the guy spent good money on great mods, mods that 99% of the people don't have but would surely love to have, sure he had the money to buy "real" but enough is enough with the "real police" coming in to slap the guy with an infraction

I've been going to shows in the SCC community since 2000 and am still amazed at what "floats everyone's boat" out there. Case in point was this one guy with an airbrushed car that looked great online but inperson, looked like total sheeet! I always kept my car clean, well modded and spent good money on unique parts, case in point, $1200 for a set of custom made, quad projector headlights w/HIDs, back when an HID kit was $500, not $50.00 mind you. Now I'm not patting myself on the back but just making a point for the sake of the story. Then you'd have a guy who made something out of real CF but again, inperson, looked like a complete hack job but because he was a "popular" person on the forum, he got a free pass and people only saw "real" CF and not the fact that his car was never cleaned and detailed. In closing, this same forum bashed the hell out of the guy who bought my car, a 2000 Contour SVT w/52k on the clock and was 5 yrs old for $10k (those cars were about $6-7k then) and everyone said I ripped him off......no, I just took good care of my car, tastefully modded and NOT beat on, I got ripped on for not dumping my clutch at meets, stupid, the MTX-75 wasn't the strongest trans out there and why do that anyways, talk about "going back to the muscle cars", geeeez

It would be interesting if we ever had a national show, I can almost guarantee you that all these "E-thugs" wouldn't say a damn word to any of these guys with the venom they do here, this I know. They say the camera adds 20 lbs, well, the keyboard adds about 50 lbs and adds about 6-9" of height!

Being disrespected is always uncalled for unless you are disrespected first. I felt like the wheel criticism was in bounds at first and got a little out of hand afterwards. I mean look at charmy's build, people destroyed Daniel about his wheels (and still do) but but people respect him because he's always been respectful even under the worst scrutiny. A lot of the guys on this forum are good guys at heart and are taken way too seriously at times. Just let them troll and nothing will be blown out of proportion . I'd hate to see this forum turn into another immature honda forum.

Doing me best to keep it from becoming one of those other forums.. Better use of the emoticons helps to keep things lite and this is just a forum - Shouldn't really take things or ourselves too seriously..

Oh yea, Charmy's wheels do suck.. Can't wait for version 2.. I recommend the Rotas and mucho respecto..

I never said it was, but there was a show though.........about 500 cars if I had to guess! I saw 2 white CR-Z's, one was all stock other than tint and another had those LED reflectors and one was out, never saw either one park though. The show was at Arlington Toyota/Scion in Palatine and was absolutely awesome!

Hey Justin, have mercy on that R33 and let that guy know I can detail it for him Thanks for setting up another show for everyone, it was a really good time!!!
