Five days ago I measured my tire pressures for the first time since purchase 12/13/2011.
I found them to be 30.0, 30.5, 30.5 and 31 psi. I inflated all four tires to 34 psi. Previously I had averaged 37.0 mpg over about 20 of my 14-mile, 75/25% highway/city commute. Averaged over the four commutes since inflating the tires, I am now getting about 38.5 mpg. |

I went through last winter on the stock tires and drove it with common sense and got through ok but we had a 6" and 7" dumping and I must say, the car would just get "out of shape" when taking off, hence the OEM tires have no initial bite at all. I knew I was replacing the tires/wheels when spring came and I did and I expect my current tires, Continental DWS', will due awesome when the white stuff falls as I've had great luck with these tires.
Now as far as hard driving, well, I had the stockers on while on the Tail of the Dragon this past fall, my 9th trip down there in a row and I must say they did better than I thought they'd do. I ofcoarse scuffed up the shoulders a bit but that's to be expected but the stockers "didn't talk back to me" and I never felt unsafe while pushing the car hard at night time. I usually push the car to about 7-8/10th's so that also could have something to do with it as well but then again its a public road and that's more than enough to really enjoy any car out there. I can't see anyone really replacing these tires with another set when the time comes but for the most part, they did "ok" in most areas IMO but like the guy from Minn said, if your driving in really bad weather in the winter, nothing beats a set of good snow tires for sure, especially on a car this low to the ground and besides, today's snow tires are really good on the dry stuff, so you'll never even know you've got specialty tires on the car to begin with

I put Continental DWS on the 17" accessory Honda wheels and I can attest to them. They provide a smoother, quieter, more comfortable ride than stock and my fuel economy went up slightly. I'm pretty sold on these tires and if you live in seasonal climates, this is the tire to get.
