Default automatic relock after you turn the engine off and leave the car?

This question is regarding the behavior of the security system. I understand that if you unlock the CR-Z, it will re-lock and re-arm itself in 30, 60 or 90 seconds, depending on the re-lock timer setting. Does your CR-Z also re-lock and re-arm itself if you pull into the driveway, leave the car, and forget to lock it yourself? I would swear my CR-Z did this a handful of times, but service technician at the local dealership denied it was a feature and so was unable to fix it so my car does this reliably.

Anytime you press the remote unlock button the doors will lock after the selected delay period, but only after pressing the remote unlock button.

but only if you also don't open a door, if you do then it won't re-lock - most cars do this.

Maybe the dude who sold me the car was bull****ting me, but he said specifically it monitors if someone is sitting in the driver's seat. If there's nobody sitting there for the set amount of time, the car will lock.

There's the problem. The person who always seems to know the least about the car is the car salesperson.

I think it's a Honda thing... the '08 my Civic Si that I used to have did the same thing, only you were unable to set the amount of time between the unlock and the relock.

this is damn annoying when you unlock the car from inside the house, with the plans to immediately go outside to get something, only to discover the car has re-locked itself already... which necessitates going back in the house for the key

I believe that 'lexicon' is right.
The CRZ is the same as my Volvo re: the door lock.
If you remotely unlock the door and do nothing else. The door WILL re-lock after about 30 seconds.

Lol I don't know why it would be so hard to take the key with you... After all, you might wanna lock your house door? idk I would always take the key with me.

Same with Hyundai's... Most or all new vehicles (hell, even the 03 Tiburon did it) will lock themselves if not touched for 30 seconds.
