above $23k (loaded) this car will be hard to justify getting over an Si coupe...

base starting around $19,900 (under $20k over Insight)...
EX around $21k-22k
EX-Navi around $23k-$24k

those are my guesses and better be right or i might have to pass on this car...

for those who might not remember the '06 Si started under $20k at $19,900 and the Navi model was $22,300... i bought my '06 Si-Navi for $24,500 after tax, title, etc. I was the first in florida with a blue Si w/Navi and i waited 5 months (from my down payment) to get it... the availability of the Si was more rare with only 11k 2006 Si's made and only about 10% of those having Navi i'd say i got a good deal...

although this (CR-Z) isn't a rare car it will be limited in production with Honda's target being around 15k sold for the year... expect this car to be a bit difficult to get if it's as popular as the Si was when they came out... i only mention that b/c dealerships might try to mark these cars up a bit when they come out...

Hey guys, haven't been on for a while but yesterday, I took delivery of a new 2010 Clear Sky Blue Honda Insight. Why not the CRZ? When it came down to it, I needed the extra rear seating. I must say though, I love my new Insight ex w/ navi. It handles well, the paddle shifters are not necessary but fun through twisty roads.

Anyways, I was talking to a few guys down at Liberty Honda (Hartford, CT) and one of the sales manager was telling me he thinks the dealers in the U.S. will be getting a demo car each, or each dealer may get a few in 3-5, and that's it for the year. This is due to the high success rate in Japan. Production would increase in the future. He also stated that he would not be surprised to see the ex price tag at around $25-26k. Now, I would take this as a grain of salt because these are just speculations but in all honesty, I believe there will def be a market for this car and they will sell fast.
In terms of similarities with the Insight, it's a shorter, 2 door version of the insight with ~100 pounds shaved off, 1.5 l instead of a 1.3 (more power), sportier steering, 6 speed.
Knowing that, (I love my Insight and the way it feels) it's going to top every category in terms of sportiness over the already fun insight. The Honda CRZ will go fast! Put your deposits in...I wish everybody who is looking to buy one the best of luck.

thanks for the Insight (pun intended lol)... i would never listen to what the dealer tells me UNLESS they're an enthusiast... most of the time they read blogs etc and get crappy info (or lack of info) anyways...
