So do you think that will be a fully loaded car or do you think the base model will even be more than 35000? Explain yourself

A rather interesting, and for that matter exciting, quote I found today.

"If this costs as much as 2.7 million yen ($30,000), no one is going to take another look at this car," said Takashi Nagura, an engineer for the CR-Z, while declining to give a price.

If this truly is the case, we should see the Honda CRZ sell like hotcakes!!!

Default Honda will kill this if it's over $25K

This is an Insight sports sedan and should be priced accordingly. Can't imagine ANYONE would pay $37,000 or even $30,000 for this car. Ridiculous. Much more interesting cars available in those price brackets.

If it starts at $21,000 and goes to $25,000 that would work, maybe.

I still have a feeling its going to be $22000ish to start and maxing out close to $30,000 for all the options. Hopefully I'm wrong and its cheaper

I'm with HondaFan. But even still, I'll believe it when the price is official, things can change too much until the time of production.

I think in this marketplace it will have to be cheap..... I would guess $19k is the base price, but once you add in the options that almost every car on the dealer lot will have, most will be priced 24k - 27k

I agree with the engineer though that 30k is too much for a car this small!

I am guessing the car will be $20,000 max... i think thats a fair price tag for the Honda CRZ. But if they come out with a CRZ Type R i think it will be 28k
