My wife's Challenger (6 speed manual) has it, but we've turned it off. My Ram 1500 also has it, but I've never much seen the need for it on an automatic. I've also been driving a manual tranny since I learned how to drive, and have never had any troubles with the disengage the brake/ get on the gas/ release the clutch thing... Hope that you got your issue resolved Amandu.. sounds like your HSA may not be functioning as advertised. Exco

Mine worked and i say worked i recently had a run in with a dodgy pot hole in the road and it caused my VSA light to stay on deactivating the hill assist but also the VSA off button the warning light eventually went off after a day but the hill assist would still not work i know this because i have felt it work in the past (its quite clever really) i had no further indication from the on screen computer that i had any faults but yet i still had no hill assist i eventually took it to the dealer got them to plug in and they found 6 error codes they had to reset the ECU and check over the system what ya know its back to normal........it might be worth just taking it in to see what they can find like i said i had no further fault warning but it just didnt seem right.

You must have the clutch engaged (clutch pedal pressed down and held), in first gear and on an incline for the ECU to use the hill assist
