Cnet put it best about the CR-Z acceleration: "0 to 60...Yes."

I lol'd. Its gonna be b/w 9-11 seconds. Most cars in this size, weight, power range get no less than 8 seconds with 9-10s being the average. Still, for a 1500cc engine that's not bad at all.

I am going to have to try this!

Can't count on one hand the number of times I've had that same experience!

CVT.
I read this and realized I have yet to go up to 60 in Econ... Good to know I'll get there eventually

Visit your local starbucks, order a latte, and wait. While doing this please record the amount of time it takes to receive your order, including adding any extras (Splenda, cool non-fat to chill it a bit, etc.). Once you have finished please multiply the total time it took to complete this task by 3.1456.

This is the 0-60 time for the CVT transmission.

About 9.5 sec for my mostly stock 2012 CVT.

This was in Sport mode, traction control on, no fancy shifting or hand brake tricks. Just pedal to the floor.

After you do all that , take a nap if you have the 6 speed .. C&D had both cars and the CVT smoked the 6 speed 0-60 . It took the full 1/4 mile to catch up and then it was within a 1 tenth of a sec. It's not any surprise really .

You'd think that a transmission that holds the engine in its power band would have a quicker time....
