We took the CR-Z on a 9,000 Mile road trip a few weeks ago... We slept in it several times with our 60 pound Pointer! We had one of those headrest-attached seat protector things and with the seats laid forward the dog kinda had a hammock in the gap between the seats and the back rest laid down. Without the dog, it would be not problem for two people who don't mind getting close . It would be way comfortable for one person alone with no crap (clothes, shoes, photo gear, etc) in the back. My wife and I are 5'10" and 5'8".

I'm 6 feet tall, and my friend and I spent the night in my car a couple weeks ago. Put down the seats, put blankets over us and we were perfect. It's become a home for me.

I think it was Vokswagon that had a vehicle with this option years ago.

That tent is pretty rad. Wish i knew about it a year ago. I used to sleep in my hatch when I was to tired to drive him when I would be in lake forest visiting my ex or friends from there. I'm pretty short so slept fairly well

The only thing is, just as another forum poster mentioned, I'd worry about draining my battery having the hatch light on all night. Or does it turn off after a while?
