roadsters usually cost more for insurance for it's 2 seat configuration... there aren't enough coupe/hatchbacks with 2 seat configuration to really be able to tell insurance rates... but generally in a 2-seater, yes, the insurance goes up...

Well in my case the backseats are a must, I have like most in the crz customer range (25-35j) a baby, so time enough till she is 160cm

Small Asian girl friend at the back, future mother in law at the front. There are people who actually need the backseats.

I would switch the seating arrangement around, mother in law in the back, girlfriend in the front. That way those back seats could be used what they were made for, TORTURE!

All my 2+2 sports coupes had small rear seats.

They provided a Boolean positive result to the possibility of rear seating. No rear seats = no option.

They work very well for children.

A reduced insurance rate is an ongoing benefit.

I'd rather have no rear seats. It provides more storage space with out all the extra material, it's less weight and is less costly to manufacture.

I'd do that after future mother in law becomes mother in law.
