Default 17" wheel accessory available from Honda?

Not sure if it is mentioned in another thread, it seems 17" wheels and 205/45R17 performance tires are now available from Honda, see Honda automobile web site.

I read that the CR-Z comes with 16" rims but I measured my crz ex yesterday and it is 17" exactly. Is the 16" for the non-ex? hmm. I'd like to get 18" but i'd have to get new tires for that too. I have no idea where to purchase any of these....ugh....

If you have 17" rims, they are OEM extras and cost a couple thousand extra in most cases. Check your invoice. You would/should know if you bought into the 17" rims... All standard models come with the 16" rims.

An example of the honda 17" can be found on the crzforum home page on the Feb 2011 COTM display.

if you measured them with a tape measurer it might not be accurate. look at the Tire itself, it should have a measurement code (i.e. 205/45/r17. the R17 is the size of your wheel. if you have 16 it should say 195/55/r16.)

You have 16" wheels. The measurement is taken at the diameter where the bead of the tire sits on the wheel; it does not include the rim flange. You cannot see this diameter when the tire is mounted. Most 16" wheels measure about 17" across the extreme outer diameter of the wheel that is visible with the tires mounted. If you dismount the wheel the wheel spec should be written on the inside. As mentioned, the tire will also be marked with a diameter and width/aspect.

A 17" wheel will measure about 18.4" across the outer diameter of the wheel.
