The headlight sprayer/washer things are on the EDM, but not the USDM. Not sure about JDM.
With EDM getting Leather, do you think Heated seats are another feature they will get? Most if not all current Honda's with Leather automatically have heated seats. The lack of Glass Roof and Back Seats should help the weight of the USDM model. Backseat is pointless in this little car anyway

I dont know why Honda is cutting the US model so much, some things to cut costs I get but at least make them options on the higher end versions. As a long time fan of the CRZ I am just about done and going to have to find something else to buy now. There is no reason to not offer push button start or other basic luxury items on this car if you have them in the rest of the world.

I do find it strange they are cutting out things such as leather and the push button start. Be interesting to hear Honda's reasoning.
Might be time to start emailing them and let them know what the WE want, and not what they think we want! |

i added a push start to my Si... wasn't hard... $10-$15 in materials including wires, relay (most of the cost), universal connectors... oh and the button (S2k) retails for like $40 or so... the hardest part was cutting into my dash... i only had to do that b/c it's not even close to an option for the coupes to add a button... the sedans have a nice place to put the button tho... on this it shouldn't be hard either... simply buy the parts ie: panel, button, wires, etc... and should be an easy install...
i'm not a huge fan of leather, but would be nice to have the option b/c it would keep the price of the non-leather down ![]() the hardest upgrade to my CR-Z is going to be the addition of the sunroof... and that's only b/c i'm going to have to cut/weld/paint... but relatively easy i suppose... |

Im suprised to hear so many people prefer a push button starter.. When Honda put it on the S2000 it was a novelty item, meant to represent the starter on a racecar (and as far as I know Honda was the first mainstream manufacturer to feature it on a production car); you still have to place the key into the ignition and turn it, so the push-button is actually an additional step... It's fine as a novelty feature on a "limited production sportscar," but the fact that BMW, Nissan, etc, etc are making it standard these days on things like Sedans makes no sense. That being said, I guess it kinda makes sense on the CR-Z because it is a "limited production 'sporty' car." Close enough.

lol... i see your point... if it wasn't offered at all, i wouldn't want it... but since it is an option somewhere else... i want it... even with the added step, it's still simple... i mean i got so used to it in my Si that it was weird when i actually tried to start the car normally... i could also disconnect the wire on the ignition to where it would ONLY start with the button but i wanted to have a backup in case the button stopped working lol...

Back in the good old days, (heh, heh), you turned the key (after you pulled the choke) and stepped on the starter. When starters were incorporated into the ignition system, it was viewed as a leap into the future. Yes, the S2000 emulated the push-start of a race car. But race cars don't have key ignitions. So let's move on into the 21st century with "finger print start", where you just touch a pad with your fingertip to start, no key required. Comng soon to your nearest dealer! :-)
