Sales Rep at a Local Honda dealer in Whiteplains, NY said that August 24th is the official debut for the CR-Z in the USA.

i used to work as a mechanic in the body shop at a local Honda dealership, and when a car came in with the seat airbags blown, we had to replace the seat cover (cloth or leather covering on the cushions) and even with them already made for the seats, it was a pain changing them... especially on sporty-type seats...

i'm a huge DIYer... but there are certain things that i (with experience) will just flat out pay for and interior upholstery is one of those for sure things lol...
thanks for the head up on this one. I personally probably wouldn't have done it just because I wouldn't have anybody to blame if something went wrong, and I'm sure something will go wrong! well we'll see how the whole thing goes anyways. i'm waiting to see a working model so i can test drive and have a feel on the car first. i'm kind of fallin in love already though, sigh

Default Specs of Canadian CR-Z

For your information, here is the link to specfications of CR-Zs now available in Canada.

Honda Canada

We have only 2 versions available; one in 6-speed manual transmision and the other in automatic (CVT). Level of equipment are same on both versions.

The cars are very well equipped...including standard HID, day/night rear view mirror with integrated compass, sports pedals, bluetooth, etc.

Personally, I wish they had panorama glass roof, navigation and leather seats ...even as extra cost options. Right now, they come as equipped with no extra options other than 3 exterior colors available.

yes, at the time of making this thread it was assumed that the US and CA version would be the same... that is not the case anymore but to edit each individual spec for every country would be a bit tedious... so unless someone else would like to do it, it's gonna stay the same

wth were u thinking bringing fingernails in the car??

on a serious note, i don't think they sell that part alone... might come as a complete assembly... ur best bet would be a junk yard or ebay...

SILENCE! I happen to keep my nails very shorts. It's just the angle I hit it. I barely nick it. Thats why i was like wtf..how did that happen? Well...i doubt i can find it on ebay or even a junk yard yet. I guess ill just have to live with it. Maybe the stealership can replace it or fix it If i say..it came like that and I just now noticed it. *shrugs* worth a shot. Doubt it will work, but whatever. It's just making me depressed. My whole day is **** now cuz of thinking about it.

try the dealership thing... it might work... there isn't much they would be able to do for you except maybe have a detailer look at it...

Hmm... well there is a member with a recently wrecked CRZ. Perhaps they can give you details where the car went.
