so the North American version is clearly not getting a bunch of goodies offered in Europe and Japan, but is it possible to get some parts from over there and install it onto a NA CRZ? I was thinking of getting the leather heated seats they have over there but I would need a new center console thingy (where the shift knob would be) that includes the buttons for the heated seats. any clues as to how much this package is gonna cost me?

i must say i've herd this alot though but i shud say leather seats are over rated.. in the summer you can pan fry your butts and in the inter you have to wait for heat seats to defrost ur butts... xD just saying

living in South Florida, unless they have Air Cooled seats, there isn't a need for heated so they're pointless for me lol...
but to answer ur question, aside from just the seats and the center console thingy, your dash will probably need a new wire harness which IMO is not worth changing just for some heated seats... and for the leather, you can probably take it to a local shop to add to ur existing seats rather than pay all that money for not only buying, but shipping the seats...

i just got used to having heated leather seats because i drive an 08 accord right now. its kinda nice to have during the winter times as i'm prone to get a chilly behind, hehe.
anyways, i've checked out companies that offer leather seat packages and i'm considering it. they also offer heated seats as options so i figured i'd only need to get the center console with the factory buttons and they can hook it up to that. perhaps i'm mistaken? has anybody ever had aftermarket leather seats installed? such as katzkin or something? cost and quality? |

if they offer heated seat option... then you can probably ask if they can wire it to the OEM buttons... they should be able to... my post was referring to all OEM stuff...
never done seats myself, but i would imagine in the neighborhood of +$2,000...

An aftermarket company should offer an "add-on" strip of blue/white LED's that would attach to the stock USDM headlights in the stock location. Sure as H wouldn't cost $1400!
Not getting the LED's on the headlights is the most annoying thing about this car. It would not have added hardly anything to the cost of the car if Honda would have built them this way! |

really $2000? I figured the parts would only cost mayb $800 or so considering there's only 2 seats. i tried googling how to install your own leather seats but from what I gather it doesn't sound like it's a good idea for me to do it myself. either way i just checked with my buddy at honda and they don't even know when they're going to get the car in. supposed to be august 10 for canada but they're not even sure.

stay away from doing the seats yourself... especially if they are from scratch... unless you have experience doing seats... i used to work as a mechanic in the body shop at a local Honda dealership, and when a car came in with the seat airbags blown, we had to replace the seat cover (cloth or leather covering on the cushions) and even with them already made for the seats, it was a pain changing them... especially on sporty-type seats... i'm a huge DIYer... but there are certain things that i (with experience) will just flat out pay for and interior upholstery is one of those for sure things lol...
