Do you need to drill holes in the car at all for that hitch?

Just got my car yesterday. This morning I moved the passenger seat forward and tipped the seat forward.

After removing the front wheel and seat I was able to put my bike inside! K

(Room for the skateboard as well)

No, you don't have to drill any holes since you use the existing holes in the "frame" and the center loop in the center below the rear diffuser. From the mounting instructions, it is not designed to tow, but is perfect for a bike rack in the receiver. I will PM you with the instructions.

You apparently do have to widen the existing holes, cut body panels, and partially remove the exhaust to install that so again I think I am going to just get a trunk mount for the time being. Thanks for the info though!

Just wanted to bump this. Mountain bike time is nearing and I don't wanna have to trade my car in for a Fit.

With the Yakima have you noticed any gas mileage drop? And how easy is it to install and remove?

I am picking up my car tomorrow and I am trying to figure out How I am gonna carry my Fuji Roubaix road bike. Has anyone just taken the car down to a U-haul place and had them put a receiver on it. I currently have a trunk carrier and don't really wanna use that on this car

Ugh, all this hassle to find a rack for when I get my bike. I think im just gonna see if the guys at the place I go to will just let me "dry fit" the bike in the back to see if it fits. Im totally ok with just wrapping it in an old blanket for transport int he back as opposed to hassling with the rack. The only thing I almost ever have in the back area is my first aid kit anyways.

Watched a video on how easy it was to install and remove the Yakima rack and I think I'm going that route. They have a configuration for the CR-Z now. Just wish I could see how much hatch operation is limited with it on...

I don't want a roof mount. I just know I am gonna be one of the people that drives into the garage or an ATM or something and destroys my bike. I don't have an extra grand laying around for another one. I am assuming my bike will probably fit through the rear hatch if I have too
