I would hate to bring it to honda everytime i need to swap rims. My bmw, i can setup thru my on board easily. |

Best I can tell you, is that you are stuck with Honda, American/Discount Tire has a Honda programer but no updates to support the CR-Z yet. Once they do then you will have an alternative. Even TireRack (as of sept 2010) has no solution for reprograming the CR-Z's TPMS.

Yes it needs to be reprogrammed once the wheels are swapped.
I had the dealer take off the 17" wheels they had on it and put the stock ones back on. (2500 for their rims/wheels, I think not) On the way home from buying the car, 15 miles from the dealership the TPMS went off. I thought they under inflated the tires or something stupid. Once I checked the manual it said that if it flashes for a minute and stays on that it needs to be checked. I took it in two days later (when I was off work... I don't drive it to work) and snarled at that some. Got an appointment the next day and they took it for about half an hour and brought it back fixed.
