Arrow Rear wiper delete plug find

Honda Element - Honda CRZ CR-Z rear wiper delete plug | eBay

Found this while surfing Ebay last week and ended up buying it and yes, I know you can make one yourself but I thought this was a well done kit offered, so I bought it. I like what its made of and the fact that its got a rubber gasket on both sides of the glass, nice tight fit for sure, not to mention the hardware included. I will have the plug covered in gloss black vinyl so things match up out there. Mine should be arriving by the first week of June (coming from Greece)

I have this plug delete. I actually contacted the eBay seller, Antonis, asking about a custom plug when we figured out that the plug that he already makes for the Element will fit perfect. The wiper hole for the Element and CR-Z are 30mm, while most other Hondas are 32mm.

It's a very quality piece. I got it in gloss black as well and it looks really good. The gloss black makes it disappear into the glass so well that I forgot that I did this mod and didn't post any pics until now. Here you go:

Thanks for the pics and info Item, he did mention another CR-Z-er but didn't use your name in my question about the product. I can't wait to get this, have the cap wrapped and installed, really, really cleans up the rear window area soooooooooo much, I've seen this mod inperson once and that's all it took I'm also glad to hear from you that its a quality piece and like I said in my original post, it just looked like quality and you've just confirmed it!

How long did it take to get to you and how about the install?

It took about a week or two to get it.

The install isn't too bad. You have to remove about half of the tailgate trim before you can get to the wiper assembly. The trim is held on by only clips, but if you have pulled off some interior trim pieces before, you'll know that getting that first clip to release from the car is the hardest part for each piece. Make sure you reassemble everything back together correctly, because I think I missed seating a clip and I have a little rattle back there now. I'll get around to fixing it someday...

Thumbs up

This is being installed tomorrow morning before I have to go to work, wish us luck with the install. This is one of those mods that's little but really makes a BIG difference in the looks department

Those of you looking to do this mod and don't wanna mess around with making the kit yourself, rest assured this is a high quality piece and comes complete with (2) gaskets and all aluminum construction! Then there's the shipping, came from Greece and showed up at the earliest estimated date too, this guy doesn't mess around in that department

Better get em before Greece switches currency (dissolves into chaos). A little crazy though, even the all OEM Honda option costs less, that's a first.

There are two OEM options that I'm aware of: the rubber plug and the metal plug that seals using your original wiper seal. The rubber plug is kinda cheap looking and the metal plug on our seal, or any OEM seal, would have a really high profile. Neither have a nice look if you ask me. This eBay plug has a nice rounded low-profile gloss black appearance that disappears into the glass; exactly what you want if you are deleting the wipers for a cleaner look. Sure it's the most expensive option, but when you are used to paying for JDM goodies, this purchase is a walk in the park...

I'm glad you guys are happy with a $55 plug. As long as you are happy with it and not spending my money on it, it's all good.

For those wondering, the hardware plug option from Lowe's looks great. The total cost is about $5 if you buy paint and sealant to go with it.

It's a mod that only you will notice and care about. Personally, I think it's price gouging, but if it's what you want I guess it's priceless.
