Its possible to spoof everything up and to a mac address. If you want to browse something without being found you can with ease (if you know what you are doing).

The concept that proxy and chain proxy use is not secure is true to an extent. The reason being is that you live in a country with laws. Your ISP to do business there has to abide by said laws and your ISP can be forced to check for specific traffic to a proxy server for example. None of that is going to happen unless you're committing a crime really.

This whole model breaks down when you consider the ease by which you can access another network.
