Battery Tender

Anyone use a battery tender like we use on motorcycles? If my car sits in the garage more than 1 1/2 weeks the battery is dean, will not start, no lights nothing. I have to put it on the charger on slow charge over night. Hate having a new car that I can not depend on when I need to drive it. I end up driving my 20 mpg truck a lot more because the car won't start. So much for saving money on gas.

Might be a weak 12 volt. As you know it's under constant drain maintaining the security system, radio stations. Worth having it checked out. Mine is 16 monts oul and is not garaged and to date have not had any problems like yours. And like you it'll often sit for 10 days or so without being run. As a matter of interest, last late winter we had horrendous snow accumulations, so heavy that it was three weeks of sub-freezing temperatures before I could my auto out on the road.

The tender would help, that's for sure. But like haviruzz stated, its probably a weak battery. It shouldn't go dead within 1.5 weeks...

That shud not be happening. I'd guess you got a duff cell; definitely back to the dealer to check it out under warranty. Our Z left for 10-14 days no problem.
(use an Optimate 4 on jetski battery which wont hold a charge for long)
