Default Is my IMA Failing?

I started having issues a couple months or so ago and it seems to be getting worse. I first noticed that the battery would be fully charged when I park it, and the next day I get up and it's down to one bar. I then started noticing this happening when the car was sitting parked fro shorter amounts of time. Today the most disturbing thing happened. I'm driving my car down a hill with about 4 bars, I lightly held the brake so that it went full charge (green) and the entire way down the IMA battery charge held at four bars without increasing. At the bottom of the hill I came to a stop my battery went from 4 bars to 1 bar and the car wouldn't go into auto stop. Any thoughts before I bring it in?

Might have a bad cell or something in your batteries... Might want to go and have it inspected/checked out.

That doesn't sound good. Could be the programming. Our cars are just to high tech. Hopefully its an easy fix.

Not that it's the same car, but our Civic Hybrid had the exact same issue. Turned out to be a bad cell - they replaced the battery under warranty. If it hadn't been under warranty, roughly 3k! Ouch. Shudder to think what will happen when these hybrids start falling out of their warranty periods. I went extended, just in case.

Did you get extended on the battery too? I went with the extended warrenty too but I have to check to see if it covers the batery. I plan on keeping this baby a long time!

Taking it in this weekend. Honda US warranties a minimum of 7 years/100K miles on the battery. In CA it's 10 years/150K (or more miles, don't remember)
