I have the AEM and I love it, but as far as numbers come, majority of the aftermarket intakes all have relatively same gain....seeing your in PA I would stay away from the AEM and Injen or any the other Cold Air Intakes as you can hydrolock your car that way especially if it rains alot....maybe short ram intake would be best for money. Great gains and doesnt risk the hydrolocking that CAI's have.

CAI is the best overall since you're not sucking air from the engine compartment. But it's too risky. When I was considering CAI vs. SRI, it was raining and the traffic on a main road was slowing down...because there was a huge puddle in the middle of the road. I saw water up to the middle of people's tires. Too close for comfort.
Riding off what TinTin said a while back, you don't actually "gain" hp, you "free up" hp, because it's noticeable how choked the engine is with the OEM airbox...after you put the SRI on, throttle response is relatively instanteous. Sport mode is a lot smoother.

![]() if you want the most power and dont mind the 2 1/2 hour install or are worried about hydrolock then this is the one you need to get. but you dont need to know alot about intakes to install any of them so thats good |
