Exclamation Loud Tappets???
Okay after doing a couple of runs in sport mode I noticed the Tappets getting noticeably louder when idling. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this same thing. I don’t want my baby to get hurt.

If you are talking about the "ticking" sound at idle??

It is normal.. Had the same thing on my 07 Civic Hybrid.

Here is a thread that broaches the subject. Hope it helps..

Its from your fuel injection, NOT the lifters/tappets.

Haha! thanks again for the info guys, i was just starting to get a little worried because loud tappets turned out to be a bad thing in my GSR.

newer hondas tend to have louder fuel injection at idle. its nothing to worry about!
