Default Is it possible to remove the rear seats?

Hello!

I have the European version of the CR-Z with back seats(rear seats).

Is it possible to take these seats out? Less weight will give better fuel economy and better performance.

Thanks for your time!

Why shouldn't it be possible? You can remove nearly everything from the inside of your car. It's just the question if you're willing to do that to a new car?

I just wondered if it was a click-system for taking out the seat when they are not in use. I know some other cars have it.

And I have a other question:

When I use the Sport-mode, I can feel the wheel getting harder, is it the suspension getting harder or is it just the electronics in the wheel that gets turned off?

Thanks!

I don't think there's any quick release type mechanism - lets face it, there's almost no thought gone into the rear seats
Check this thread though for someone who's already done it;

Only the steering assistance is firmed-up in Sport, no suspension changes.

^ to expand the steering is electronically controlled. when you go into sport it just makes the wheel "harder" to turn. Suspension stays exactly the same.

The seat back is easy. There is a bolt on each side at the hinge.

The seat bottom I'm not sure. The USDM has a plastic tray that is held in with plastic rivets and doesn't weigh enough to bother with. There are probably a few bolts on the back of the seat bottom and some hooks in the front (as I remember it from my Integra).
