Default Auto Stop

When I test drove a different CRZ for a week it seemed like auto stop was always working. Recently after buying a different CRZ I think it's worked 3-4 times (past week).
So what I'm getting at is when is it suppose to work and under what conditions does it not? Does the car have to be warmed up? Certain driving modes?
Thanks for your help!
Mary

A lot of things affect the auto-stop, state of charge, temperatures, electrical load, AC, brake booster vacuum etc.
It needs to be warmed up and it will auto-stop more in Econ.
I notice with mine that if I've not used the car for a week or so (I work from home sometimes) then the first few journeys seem to have very few auto-stops to the point where I'm looking at the dash thinking "OK, so why haven't you stopped".
I know I can do the same journey after a normal commuting week and it'll auto-stop at every light.
I haven't figured this out really because the IMA battery will still show a high SoC and I'm not sure what else would be different, unless it's charging the 12v battery which is not an easy thing to know.

Helpful info.. thanks.
It's been doing it a lot more, but it's cooler out and I don't use the A/C.

Wow, that had to be the most neighborly 'use the search' post I've ever seen!

you know, i had some questions also on the autostop feature.

didn't always go into autostop when i hit a light. since i mainly drive in sport mode, thought that was the reason.

i have since replaced the OEM air filter with a k&n air filter. (had them in my tacos.)
now, it goes into autostop every time i stop at a light and/or <900 rpm.

love the autostop feature - getting use to it now.

later
