I had Tanabe Super Hyper Medalion on my h22 prelude. It's very quiet. It's pretty good. It had a slight rasp when cold. But once you warm up and get it going, it was really good. I'm not sure on a crz. Now that I remember there was still a slight buzz from time to time when I floored it and hit VTAK. H22's ran rich, so it was hard to buy or construct an exhaust that didn't have some form of buzz or rasp. Somtimes no buzz all day. Then other days, more so than usual. I actually got fed up with exhausts as a whole. Trying to get that perfect sound out of a 4 banger honda can be tough.
I love the stock sound of the crz. So no exhaust for me on this one unless i went FI or something. The good thing about the SHM is that there was no loud droning that used to give me headaches when I had my mellon shooter on. Very quiet, near stock at lower rpm. It was def good quality build though. Hope that helped somewhat.

The crz seems to sound very good for a 1.5. Dare I say way better then my prelude did. *lol* Honda really spent the time to engineer the cars motor and exhaust note.

No. It's a type from tanabe. But I see they dont carry it for the crz. Just the G Concept and Touring. Of the two, the G Concept seems the least "raspy". But I think if you want quiet, may wanna try another exhaust.

Scroll halfway down. They have some vids of them. http://www.tanabe-usa.com/rnd/category/Honda-CR-Z.aspx

I have that exhaust installed on my CRZ.

Pros-
*sounds great not too loud very low tone. Respectable noise level. In Eco mode it's
very quite

*Looks fantastic

*Well made

Cons-
Don't really have any.
Kinda wish it hugged the rear diffusser a little better

Highly recommended

For pics just check my intro post or my profile

My buddy is the the process of developing a bolt on rear section kit and down pipe kit for much less than the competition. It will all be stainless but won't increase the size of the pipe much, just remove the factory 2nd Cat and remove the muffler in back and provide center exit exhaust. HE may have it available within the next month or so if you are interested. Once he does he will be setting up a vendor account here.

Here is one he did for a VW:

^ Much less than anything currently on the market! I need to get my car over to him for him to make the first kit. His shop is about 60miles away however. But I will get up there soon for him to mock up one.

SHM = Super Hyper Medalion. Discontinued exahust but based on pictures, it looks similiar to the medalion touring except that it has a slash cut, single walled tip. The CRZ one doesn't apply since it has dual tips.

My vote is for the medalion touring, the concept G looks more "ricey" because of the canister style exhaust.
