Default Update on the Malfunction light

Hey everyone!

So we ended up picking up the CRZ the day we took it in. Turns out it was a broken valve responsible for monitoring the oil pressure going through the engine. Can't remember the name of the valve off of the top of my head right now... Anyways, all is well with the car!

I'm not sure how I feel about having something like that break already though?! This is my first honda.. so we'll see! They said there was no apparent reason for it to break, just a "mechanical malfunction". SO! Hopefully no one else has problems with that one.. even though it was a free and easy fix! (OH! And the dealership is giving me my next oil-change free! )

think of it this way. imagine if it was another car and it didn't warn you that something was broken and you kept driving with it like that

that's why honda is great.

I wouldn't be too concerned. There are thousands of parts in there and this doesn't sound like a 'common' issue with this engine (which in non-hybrid form is shared with the Fit). If there was an recurring issue with this, I'm sure we'd have heard about it by now.
