Default Any a/c pros? Prius 05 blowing hot air

A few months back we had trouble with the a/c not blowing air at all but that was just due to the fan which I just unplugged and plugged back in and cleaned the filter. Now it's blowing like a champ but it's hot!

Is this something a recharge kit can fix? Or do I need new compressor? How can I check? Pressure tests? Dunno anything about A/Cs!

Thanks

I dont know how much help you're going to get, this is a CRZ forum not a prius forum.

If your A/c is blowing hot and the compressor is engaging, which it may not be, you have a leak. It does no good to add freon Until you find the source of the leak.

As a result A/C problems like this are not DYI fixes. For example if you don't need freon and then add some you can destroy the compressor and other components from over charging your system with freon. You have to take it either to a shop that specializes in A/C fixes or the dealer to get it properly diagnosed. Don't be surprised if it is a really big expense to fix.
