Default USDM 2011 CR-Z EX 6MT Dyno

Well, I finally made it up to RevLine to get the car strapped to the dyno. The numbers aren't quite as high as ToV got with the pre-production CR-Z (JDM, I assume). The figures are SAE corrected. We attempted to start sampling as low as possible to get that initial torque figure, which pegs right off the get go in this car and then falls off. Very strange torque curve for a Honda and more torque than horsepower, another strange thing for a Honda.

We also made sure that the battery was fully charged between each run for maximum output. Though we toyed with the idea of doing pulls in Eco and Normal mode as well, we wanted to get the most accurate reading in Sport.

I'm fairly happy with the result though, it's within the range of what we expected with advertised figures, drive train loss, etc.

Pull number 1

Pull number 2

Pull number 3

Combined

Compared with my previous Daily Driver, a 2002 Honda Civic Si (aka "The Shoe")

Video to follow. I still need to yank it off my phone.

the TOV one was a pre-production USDM model...

the numbers are very impressive if you ask me... seems that the car barely loses any torque from the drivetrain...

going by the numbers you put down assuming there's a 10% drivetrain loss that means you're making 125hp/135tq (based on the comparison sheet with the Si numbers)...

how many miles on your car??

good to see more dyno graphs. we should make an official dyno charts thread. once we have everyones baseline in one place we can compare mods more effectively

Pretty good estimation on the drive train loss. It's funny to calculate with the electric motor and gas engine not getting their power band at exactly the same point, but nevertheless, it'll work.

Mileage on the car was 3500 the day of the dyno.

Yeah, it does the exact same thing. Falls off at about 6k.

yeah, i noticed on the dyno sheet but was curious as to how it worked in the car...

i wonder if that's b/c of some limit on the IMA system or Honda just doesn't see the need for power that high?? my guess would be that the IMA would be able to carry the engine w/o having a drop in power...

i can't wait to have tuning for the IMA (MIMA anyone?? )

Numbers are pretty much identical to my baseline.

It's basically the same video for all three, but they are each individual run. Sorry for the sort of craptastic video quality. I actually had my phone on 640x480 instead of HD.

Run 1 - The chart at the end that is shown also has the previous car that was on the dyno. The better numbers are unfortunately that car.

Those are great numbers, especially if you compare with your old SI.

I love the TQ number the most.
