I say post the whole thing somewhere for free. What are they going to do - sue you for copyright infringement?

To whoever is willing to post it, I suggest mega.co.nz as a host. Once uploaded, if you don't check the "share encryption key" box, you'll need to enter a password in order to download it. Just remember to post the PW here with the link.

If its posted somewhere unencrypted, it will probably be taken down. With all of the internet freedom killer bills on their way to become law, I wouldn't do it any other way.

Please don't let this discourage anyone from sharing, just be smart about it.

If honda doesn't care enough to stop these people from selling an illegally scanned service manual do you really think they're going to care about that manual being shared for free?

They may not care because its not hosted online, or they don't know about it yet. Its tougher to enforce the law when they're mailing a physical disc internationally.

With the DMCA laws though, they will take it down no questions asked, and the burden of proof then lies on the host rather than the copyright holder.

I'm not saying they would or wouldn't care but considering how easy it is to post it safely and encrypted I don't understand why you would choose otherwise.

half of the Honda service manuals are hosted online for free by Honda themselves. that's how i got my Prelude shop manual.

so i highly doubt they care. second of all the manuals are from Haynes and they'd be the ones losing money.

I'm not disagreeing with you at all. I'm just saying I doubt anyone would even care.
