Hello all, what is the best price you guys have found the K&N intake? I have found for 215.54, is that a fair price? Not looking to overdue this vehicle since I just got it, but seeing as how my CRZ is a whole lot less in power than what was traded I figured I can have a little fun with it. Thank you all.

That's fair. You can get it for under $225 including shipping on eBay and Amazon.

I'd just upgraded my intake manifold chamber with the 'Honda tuned' Fit intake manifold chamber, my installation required removal of my K&N Typhoon Filter and intake pipe so that I could remove the throttle body, and unlike past intake upgrades on other cars / intake upgrades, when I started to loosen the screws on the air filter clamp and the pair of clamps at each end of the neoprene sleeve that connected the throttle-body to the intake pipe, they were not tight if not loose (the clamps were still secure). It has been 9 months since my installation of the typhoon intake, and I'd not checked the fasteners since installation. The heat shield remained secured, all fasteners were tight as day one, but it appears that the clamp screw may need tightening on occasion, say at least twice a year. The sort-of force fit because the tight installation geometry of this intake system might be the cause of this clamp screw relaxing tendency.

No, K&N like all products I know of supplies the standard 'worm-gear' hose clamps with the standard hex-head / flat-blade screw head, since its cheaper than t-bolt clamps. Hose lengths are tight so you'd need to check the width of replacement t-bolt clamps (usually wider) if you opt for them. I tightened my hose clamps with a normal flat-blade screwdriver, and I also used a hex-head socket with my 1/4" drive screwdriver handle attachment for good measure; I may go further and tighten more using my 1/4" drive rachet, but I'll need to be careful with the huge magnification of torque on the thread.
