Thanks, Holly.
I think that I will bite the bullet and do the full 3M wrap.
I'm totally with you about the chips. And the roads around here always have a lot of tiny debris on them. It may cost a lot up front, but I'm of the opinion it will pay off in the long run.

Appreciate the input.

That's the colour, too (exclusive of the decals, that is)
"Rosso Competitzione" - same as the 8C came in. Gold base, with red over top.

Waiting now - hope they can get an appointment to have it wrapped this week.
Pictures to come when it happens. I can't believe it is actually, finally, going to happen. My order wasn't even going to be processed by Italy until this fall, but I was high enough on the dealer's list that when this Launch Edition car became available they called me. "Do you want it?" TRUCK YEAH!

It has some things in common with the CR-Z: Both are small, nimble, rare, smile-inducing (to drivers and passers-by alike), great on the corners, not bad on gas, and each have a few ground-breaking features for more mass-market cars (the CR-Z gets three modes and a manual transmission in a hybrid, the Alfa a carbon fibre structure). It is just a bit more, shall we say "extreme" in its capabilities.

The grocery getter part can actually be a good thing.
The Alfa is the rolling definition of a toy. It certainly isn't practical in any sense.
Amy's hatchback makes her an SUV by comparison.

The 4C has a trunk. Sort of. There's a little, picnic-cooler size well between the engine and the back bumper. Strangely, it has (thanks to regulations) a glow-in-the-dark trunk release handle inside. Even though the entire trunk is barely big enough to fit a severed head. But at least that severed head could escape if it was ever kidnapped and thrown into the trunk of a 4C

Oh, and because it is directly behind the motor (turbo gets to over 1,000 degrees), and above the exhausts, any frozen dinners you put in there will be fully cooked by the time you get home from the shops!

I haven't watched it in a while, but knowing him it may be NSFW (due to offensive language, and WARNING - CLOWN MASK!).
He cooks a meal in the trunk. He also has his own UAE version of The Tail of the Dragon to drive…
Enjoy!

No, his car is not wrapped - so it has nothing whatsoever to do with the topic.
Purely self-indulgent and unapologetic pornography.

There's no reason you couldn't have some decals as part of your wrap.

Yeah, the price is a little steep, but you have to balance that with the cost of the car itself, the stress to you every time you get a scratch, and the cost of getting the car repainted to factory quality. I think you made the right choice. The real key to happiness is getting it done by someone with experience who backs up their work. I'm so glad I didn't try to DIY my decals, despite the $500 cost.
