Headlight Restoration Help!

Hey Dudes and Dudettes, my friend has a Hyundia with cloudy headlight lenses and wants to restore them. Does anyone have a good experience with an over the counter kit?

Did it to a prius couple days agoo. Went out to oreily auto shop and bought a mothers powerball restoration, and works perfectly. You need a power drill so you can attach the soft cushion to rub onto your lens. Cost me 20bucks for the kit and bought a drill rotary thing at harbor freight tools for 20 bucks.

Thanks for the input gnawhdivad, does it tell you about how long it will last before you have to do it again?

For any cleaner, would generally think it would last as long as it originally took to become oxidized??

I tried the toothpaste on my old civic, didn't work. I think it only works to a certain extent (fog isn't too bad)

Yea, found it kind of interesting.. Definitely looks like it took some elbow grease and had to let it dry for 15 minutes and then a serious buff'n..

But, google "headlight restoration kit" and will get a lot of additional options..

no probleemm. I dont remember how long it last, but it says to check 6 months and reapply again if needed. But i think it will last a long time maybe couple of years depending how long you keep your car out in the sun. If you garage your car often, then im sure it'll last long.

Yikes, serious oxidation and wear.. Might get it a little better but back to original??

But then again, anything that makes it better would be good..
