Has anyone figured out a way to open and close the hatch after a good wash and not get fingerprints on it? (really wish they had an auto open / close function)

or should I be using more hand sanitizer?

I have been closing it with my forearm and im sure it looks ridiculous haha...

There is a small handle on the inside of the hatch you can use to pull it closed with. Opening it I just use four fingers to push the button and push up on that button. I don't grab the whole bottom piece, just lift up with those fingers.

You're welcome! I found out about the handle on the forum here in a thread about cool things people were finding on the car. Since then I've been using it and like the way it works.

it's on the inside towards the passenger side, go grab it palm up, it's a "cubby" hole to put your fingers in and pull it down. you only need to pull it down 3/4 of the way and let Gravity do the rest, no need to slam.

Haha sorry, I was able to locate the handle to shut the hatch...

I was unable to find the forum thread corbygray528 had mentioned though....

(thread about cool things people were finding on the car) figured I could educate myself a little more...
