Default Buttonwillow Track Day: 10.23.11 ---> 2:17xx

My BF tracked my car and got a 2:17xx. I am still a noob, and timed a 2:33. The first 3 laps was him testing the car. After that, he is pretty darn fast (video at 11:30 & on).

Sam passing the GT500, 6.0 GTO, 335i, and w/e the heck that was the CR-Z passed last.

First half is Sam, and the second half is our friend w/his Si. Enjoy!

Very nice. 2:17 is a respectable time, especially for a hybrid. I've been wanting to take the crz out to the buttonwillow to see how it does. Oddly enough the car is also my girlfriends. From the video description, i believe it might be exactly like yours, gray 6mt no nav.

How was the performance when the rechargeable batteries died... Was there a significant drop by any chance... Plus, how did the car feel coming out of the corner when he binded the car up?

He had some good lines and definitely see how slow the car excelerates out of the coming when coming out. Sort of a shame but what you expect from a Hybrid. I bet there were more people surprised how well the car did.

LOLrance, you should bring it out one day. Oddly my wheels are silver 6 spoke as well.

Tbot, the drop off is a bit hard to tell when you're really focused on driving but the times seems to drop off about 2 seconds when I stopped caring about trying to set the battery and positioning on track for a time attack. I couldn't turn off VSA because of the TPMS. The oversteer might be because I'm driving the car like I would my Civic but could also be a function of the 100+ lbs. of battery related gear in the butt of the car. Not letting off the throttle is your best friend here. Still very surprised at how tail happy it is even with VSA on.

In low gears the battery losing it's charge isn't really that noticable to me. Mostly noticable when going uphill with my foot on the floor and it drains. Lol.

Well if you aren't used to a FWD car on factory suspension oversteering a bit even on some huge(for it's P/W ratio) rear tires it might make you **** a bit. Once you get a hold of it and experience how well it handles you might find yourself giggling quite a bit though. So yeah, ****s and giggles is what this car is all about!

Sam was great on the track. If my car had Turbo or SC, he would be super fast.

People were kinda embarassed that a Hybrid passed their modded cars.
