Just stopped by to see the response about how the car handled when battery dead and people expression when they saw your car out there and apparently getting passed too. LOL You do anything to the engine or the exhaust or the tires... Sum it it, what mods you have to help support your car on the track?

Just what's on the video description. Hawk HPS brake pads and wheels/tires from my Civic. Motegi traklite V2 in 17x8+45 w/235/40/17 Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Specs. That's it. Nothing added, nothing removed(spare tire/tools don't count. Lol). Seemed like it was too much tire generally. I can think of a better street tire set up if suspension mods could be done.

That track seems like a test of top speed. How many places did you have to lift? Any idea on your top speed there? You mention oversteer but wow, my CR-Z has understeer something fierce. I am guessing that's the difference between stock tires/rims and your setup?

It's been referred to as a "momentum" track. I still don't reaaally know what that means. Lol. I need to lift and/or brake in 6 spots. The car is fairly light and the tires are a bit oversized so braking rarely lasts more than a couple seconds. Not a lot of time to regenerate the battery for sure. Top speed was approximately 92mph. Dunno if the 235/40/17 sidewall height throws off the gearing so take that with a grain of salt. I don't have enough experience with the car to definitively tell if it's my driving style or the 100+ lbs. of battery related gear in the butt or the wheel/tire combo but yes I experienced a lot of oversteer. The suspension is bone stock so it has to be one or any combination of those. I'm sure it's also very hard for a FWD car this light to warm up such a large rear tire but Star Specs are designed to be good to go from the first lap so who knows. Someone who knows the HondaTuning CR-Z has responded to my video and he/she feels that a progress rear sway bar is an AMAZING addition to the car. I just can't see myself wanting more rotation out of this car but again, I don't have enough experience with the car.
