VIDEO RESULTS The car is so predictable I was stunned when it spun out on me. After that lap I realized I had taken an extra wide line, trying to save momentum, and got into thick gravel that had piled up after the first session. The back end just whipped around, but the car was still running and I was back underway quickly. My lesson for next time... get all the breaking done before doing cornering, our poor OEM tires can't handle both. |

Another race weekend, this time in tire class. Finished 11th of 26 after PAX adjustment. I am still running on stock tires but I am getting a good feel for the car. Braking while going in a straight line whenever possible is helping... now if I can get a better feel for when to get off the brakes my speeds will get better. I am cutting it a lot closer to cones as well.
RESULTS VIDEO Our tire class is dominated by a Hyundai Genesis which will be moved to a faster class in 2012. I am still considering my tire upgrade path, but have other money priorities at the moment. |

Good job man! Sorry I didn't see your vids sooner. My friend is into AutoCross with his Monte Carlo and he sparked an interest, so who knows where it'll lead. Looks like the CR-Z can perform well. Thanks again!
