Im taking my z to the track tomorrow morning. Its the first time ive ever driven on a course. Are there any tips y'all can.give me? Oh and how do i charge my battery before making the run?

Thats exciting, good luck!

For tips Id say... Remember to remove any loose items from your car! Even things in the glovebox can bounce around and be distracting. Take out the spare tire and tools of course, also.

And, dont over-drive! Smooth and fluid motions are key, not jerky or sudden turns/braking/accelerating. Start slow and progressively push closer to the limit.

Most importantly, have fun!

Put it in park (automatic) or neutral (MT) and bring the revs up to 3000 and hold. It'll charge the batteries. I recommend keeping it in sport mode and taking it nice and easy but still push it.

Yah im going to push it but not too hard. Because its my daily driver and dont want to break anything

There should be no way you can break anything, dont worry about that! As long as youre staying within the boundaries of the course, lol.

Just listen to the tires, they will tell you if you are over driving or just at the limit. Should hear a slight squeal when your maxing out their grip, but a loud squeal or chirping means you should back off a bit.

You will have fun no matter what though

Thats too awesome, you should try get some video, perhaps inside cabin and outside car, so we can see your z in action.

Couldnt get pictures but the event was so fun. My fastest time was a 1:04.68. the SS camaros out there were running 1:04-1:06 the v6s were running 1:10-1:12. My friends FRS ran a 1:00.14 and tied with our friend in his miata. Then ofcourse the WRXs were ridiculous witb 58.40 the fastest i saw. A supercharged bmw z3 ran a 52 and was the second fastest being a birkin super7 with a 50.89

Did you have the stock tires? The CR-Z is underestimated in AutoX. It could definitely win H Stock nationals if someone went for it.
