I felt disappointed when no SC option available for the 13+ CRZ. been wanting the SC for the added power and honda doesn't offer hpdsc in CVT!!! This is my only way to go and I hope this thread can help us get the true potential of the CRZ.

Conspiracy theory here, but do you think FlashPro support for 2013/14 models might be held back because of the development and upcoming release of the HPD supercharger? Perfect way to limit the competition, or at least hold it back until the Honda product reaches the market. After all, I doubt Hondata can do this without complicity (or at least without copious amounts of information) from Honda. Judging by the "smarts" with which Honda has handled everything else CR-Z related, this might be a bit far-fetched and Machiavellian, though. Not sure they could organize a piss-up at an Irish wedding, actually, let alone this.

I had wondered the same thing, altho id like to have some sort of ecu moddability. That is, hopefully the same ecu that comes with the hpd system is compatible with the flashpro (if it ever gets made), and/or hopefully honda simply has a reflash for us. Im pretty much gna go the route of whatever option comes out first hpd sc or flashpro and jrsc (which is strongly lookin like hpd wins)

I don't think there is that much collaboration between Honda and Hondata... Maybe it's a little different bewtween HPD and Hondata though... Usually Hondata has to hack each different ECU on a case-by-case basis. Some ECUs are more challenging than others and it is very possible that an ECU can be completely different for even a mid model refresh. With that said, they have the experience and the development strategy to eventually hack any ECU, but it just takes time... There are not many people working there, so it can be awhile for some vehicles to get Hondata support, depending on the situation, of which demand is a major factor...

When I last talked with Hondata, I asked about the HPD kit... They did say FlashPro will work with an HPD ECU, but I didn't ask anything about specific years, as I was calling more about my misfire issues... Anyways, it seemed that the HPD kit and the CR-Z were definitely on their radar though... It is possible that they might be timing their release with the release of the HPD kit, but its hard to say for sure what the delay is. There are not nearly as many ZF2s on the road as there are ZF1s, so that might be part of it...
