Default A Canadian necessity

They came before my car! Got a set for mom's Suby too. Great for the salty Canadian winters. $130 + tax CAD shipped. $19 off when you purchase a 2nd set.

It's obvious - TinTin doesn't believe in modifying the car from stock. LOL
I think they look OK, but I have to admit that I just modified a set from Wally World to fit the driver's side. They cost me $19 for the pair (actually for 4, so the rears went into my truck).
Now THAT's blasphemy. But practical blasphemy.

How are the weather tech mats once installed?
I considered getting them (in black) for mine.
I got Honda's rubber floor mats, but the way the grooves are, I have a feeling melted snow and slush will spill over when accelerating/braking.
I'd love to see a pic of how these look once installed.

Yes the price is pretty steep for the Weathertechs :s but if you found a cheaper alternative...then why not. Personally, they were a good investment for me. No more scrubbing salt from the carpets every spring! Yippee.

I bought black ones too and will take pics this weekend and post them. My mom's fit like a glove in her Suby. Also, my friend has them in his IS350 and they're great - I expect the same results with the CR-Z. I think the Honda ones will spill over too. Pics to come....

I have the Honda all seasons weather mats (came free with the car) and they were great this past winter with all the snow we got in Toronto.
Just a couple small salt spots in one corner of the mat (less than 2 square centimeters) that I cleaned in 2-3 minutes at the beginning of spring.

Good to know that the Honda mats do alright in the winter...
I'd still love to see what the Weather Tech mats look like when they're installed...
I had some on my old 96 accord and they were fantastic... but the new ones seem very bulky with the side walls like that...
