Very sweet. Great price, too! Where were these when I used to work F-15s?

So does this torque wrench reset itself back to 0?
Do you have to have it re-calibrated?

Yes - like any torque wrench it will need to be re-calibrated at some point in time. Since ours is based on a split beam technology, it tends to hold its calibration very well. And, unlike a "click" style wrench, you don't have to turn it down to its lowest setting when storing - which is a very big reason for torque wrenches going out of calibration.

You can get 'em all day long on eBay for about $5 more. I'm all for supporting the community, but make us an offer we can't refuse...especially if you're calling it an introductory special and putting a countdown clock on it. Perhaps a members everyday price of $75 and countdown price of $50.

I know you aren't in business to lose money. There's a lot of people here that do heavy work and lot that change out their wheels. If they had incentive, they might put away their old click wrenches.

Also, is there a 3/8" version available or in the works? 1/2" is a little beefy for most of my work.

Jayemtee:

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer a better price than the $99 with free shipping and a free case. We do have some vendors who sell on ebay, and some of them can be very aggressive with their pricing. There are also some people selling an odd unit here or there which can also show up on Ebay. But we feel that the $99 is a great value, and (as far as I know) you can not get it for less anywhere. Please note that we do have two versions (one without the case), and this can sometimes lead to a little pricing confusion (the one without the case usually sells for about $10 -$15 less).

We are really proud of the product, and believe that it offers a tremendous value.

We are working on a 3/8" version, but realistically it will not be available until late this year.

Got mine the other day. This thing is a beast! It really does need it's own case, because it's too big to fit in any of my tool chests! I can't wait to try it out!
