Default Takeda cvt intake!

We just finished the testing for the cvt intake and you guys are gonna love it! This will be made in a PVC material and has plenty of clearance!

Sneak peak!

So does this have better master cylinder clearance than the 6MT version? Will this also fit the 6MT? Does it perform about the same?

Yes this will also fit on the Manual transmission. I will have to see what the Dyno results are on this one.

I don't understand how peoples clearance is so close on the master cylinder. Mine still has like an inch of clearance.

Good. Now Goose will stop bitching because there's no Takeda available for his CR-Z.

One more positive note: A PVC Plastic tube is not going to Heat Soak like an Aluminum tube will.

And I still don't know why other manufacturers are still making CAI and SRI intakes with steel piping. The difference in the coefficient of thermal conductivity between Aluminum and Steel is OUTRAGEOUS!!!

In Layman's terms; Aluminum will heat up faster, but will also dissipate heat faster (as in heat sink fins on computer processors, lawn mowers and Harleys).

Steel takes longer to heat up, but holds the heat in MUCH longer.

So Plastic is always a better choice; which is why no OEM intakes are made of metal.

Good thing I waited on the Takeda, too! Now I want the PVC version.
