Default Exhaust Help!

Ok so I read past post on here about exhaust kits and I even reviewed some video clips for sound, but which exhaust kit will give the most HP gains, and also which intake kit? I have the HKS intake which I plan to remove off my car for something else. I have a round 2k, trying to make sure I spend my money wisely, because I believe the HKS intake was a waist of money.

HKS is a great intake. Keep it.

Yeah HKS intake works fine. Especially if you box it so its not sucking in hot air anymore.

All I can say is I have the Turbo Kits/Black Label Fab CAI and exhaust and love it. According to the dynos, its at least one of the best, I love the design, the stainless, the sound, and the way it feels. It's way less than 2G for both but if you had someone install it (I did mine myself in my driveway!), it will probably cost you that.

People say the new Takeda intake has good gains but that big bend just looks wrong. Still, if you are worried about hydrolock, it's an option (but I think doesn't work on CVTs?)

The HKS is ok, just I dont think it's safe for the engine, I replaced the sponge filter and it doesn't fit flush in the cage.....just worried I can be sucking in dust and stuff. Does the ARK Exhaust have HP gains or is just for looks? I do plan on getting the Takeda Intake.

What about the black label exhuast. I hear its loud in the cabin, but suppose to have 10hp gains. Does anyone have this exhaust and what are their thoughts?

The P2R exhaust is most bang for buck. Lowest cost, greatest gains. It also increased my MPG by around 2-3 MPG.

PS. I'll buy your intake off of you.

The first prototype was basically a straight pipe and it was a bit loud for our taste, we added in a resonator and it sounds great now. We have a lot of customers on the boards with it, maybe they can chime in. InsightRacer, too loud?

I don't think the Black Label is too loud. It has a nice deep tone, not that chain-saw buzz that some have (there are clips around of its sound). The volume is very linear. At idle, it is just a little louder than stock and it gets louder as you increase the RPMs. But even around 3K (~80 MPH when you drive on the highway) its not bad. You can hear it but you can still talk on your mobile and listen to the stereo. And no drone.

I hear if you use one of those cat-delete down pipes, everything gets louders (I was just reading a thread about the P2R downpipe being too loud to use Blue Tooth!)

Besides, IF ITS TOO LOUD, YOU'RE TOO OLD!
