Unhappy Top fuel JDM insanity

Either I'm reading the prices wrong or people are trying to charge $3,000 for engine covers.

Link: Pavedearth CR-Z - Insane value for CR-Z or plus 100 hp

Nice looking, but definitely seen better, especially for $3,000.

I agree. $3000 is ridiculous. Who's selling this??

So apparently it's dry carbon which accounts for the price. And it advertises as 'super lightweight'..... um.... yeah.... I prefer the steelie engine cover with added lead insulation, oh wait the cr-z uses a plastic one is that 'ultra light'?

Looked up Top Fuel itself and they list out at 15,750 yen which is only $205 USD before import so someone either converted wrong or they are just doing major mark up .

taken from the article:

Quote:
Top Fuel itself lists the product as 15,750 yen so someone is converting wrong as 15,750 is about $205 USD not $2,500
