Default Spoon Throttle Body Initial Impression

So decided after delaying it for few weeks to just go ahead and install the Spoon Throttle body with the stock intake. Here are my initial impressions after taking the car for a quick spin in Normal driving mode:

1. The throttle responds quicker - RPM shoots higher and faster
2. It feels like the car is lighter or that the engine has more power.
3. From Auto stop to engine engage (i.e. 1st gear) the RPM jumps to 1500 RPM before slowly decreasing
4. It wants to hold on the shift RPM point - what I mean is that on normal drive w/ OEM TB, I shift gears around 3000 RPM. Let's say I'm in 1st gear and I reach 3000 RPM, I let off the gas and press down on the clutch - The RPM decreases. I shift simultaneously to 2nd gear, give it some gas and slowly release the clutch. Well after the spoon TB, when I hit 3000 RPM, I press down on the clutch, the RPM remains at 3000 RPM longer and by the time I've upshift, I barely have to give it gas.
5. The car lurches more when in motion in gear but not giving any gas. I'll be in 3rd gear and purposely slowing down, normally I let off the gas and the car will decrease in speed smoothly until at a point roughly below the 10 mph where 3rd gear is too high for the current engine speed and the car will want to lurch. After the spoon TB, the car lurches around the 23 mph in that same example. I'm wondering if it is because the engine RPM is running faster than the transmission.

After my quick 15 min test drive around the neighborhood and on the highway (I mean freeway) and back to my garage, I double checked all of the hoses and connections. All looks good. My main concern is really with number 3-5.

Other Spoon TB owners experience the same thing?

I'll let you know. My initial impression was that it lowered it and I'm wondering if it was because I felt like the engine was racing. I'm going to reset the computer and do another test run later tonight or tomorrow.

Yep...I'm going to maxbore mine as well to spoon specs and then custom tune it with my 2.75 intake pipe. Might as well take advantage that they give a price break for Hondas and are reputable.

I've been driving on a spoon tb for about 3000 miles now. There definitely feels like there is more power, esp. with Normal and Sport. Getting up to speed on the freeway and cruising above 70mph is much easier now. In sport mode, there almost seems to be too much power, too soon when accelerating from stop.

As far as MPG goes, on my work commute I used to get ~41mpg (all street) and now I get ~37. Not a great mod for hypermilers, IMO. I can't seem to get back to my original MPG, even when adjusting the way I use the accelerator pedal. Perhaps the drive-by-wire isn't sensitive enough to allow me to maintain the same MPG i used to get but that's just my uneducated guess.

Dunno if that helps anyone, but those are just my impressions.
