Hey it was my idea. I told Tony to cut a little bit of the end off.

Well I bought one of these also. Had it installed for almost a week now and I'm kinda bummed out about the rattle. I've tried the bar stool end and even padded various spots in an attempt soften the rattle. For awhile there I was even feeling the rattle vibrations through the pedals. Didnt give me a good feeling at all. I've managed to get the rattle down to a minimum. I might scrap this thing and buy a Typhoon.

Hmm, can you take a picture of all the joints and the brake master cylinder so I can see how you did it? Mine doesn't rub or rattle at all.

Still rattling from a standing start and during hard acceleration...

3/8ths of an inch clearance from the master cylinder

Twisted/pressed all the way left against the heater hose

What sometimes happens with accelerated R&D and T&E to production.. The end user puts the final touches on the T&E. On the other hand, The products get out quicker.

Hmm, how about where the pipe mates with the air filter? Did you push it in as far as it will go? Apparently it needs to go over and past a slight bump. I'm out of the state right now but will be back at the apartment next month. If you can wait that long, I can take some detailed pics and measurements and see how it was resolved on my end.

It's pulled as far forward and left as it will go. Measurements would be great for those still considering this intake but I will likely swap this out for the HKS intake shortly.
