Default Spoon Throttle Body

So I have the HKS SRI and was looking at the spoon throttle body. The HKS pipe matches up in size to the OEM throttle body, would I need to replace the HKS pipe to get any benifit from the larger throttle body?

no, youll see gains because the spoon tb benefits the stock intake also

a larger intake pipe would probably add to that but you dont have to replace the HKS.

Have you guys done a comparison between the J's Racing and the Spoon throttle bodies?

I'd be interested in hearing about this as well if you have done it.

The Spoon and J's Racing throttle bodies will have pretty much the same performance because they both have the same diameters. The difference is that J's is $150 more expensive. Possibly due to the fact that Spoon has a closer relationship to Honda so they can get OEM core parts cheaper.

According to their website:

J's Racing J's Racing Big Throttle Body - CR-Z ZF1 $575.00

Spoon Spoon Throttle Body - CR-Z ZF1 $720.00

Any chance of getting a group buy going? I want a throttle Body, but can't afford that much right now. But if we can get a group buy going for a decent discount, then I could buy one now.

I think GoTuning must've been getting spoon and J's mixed up lol, this if from their own website: Go Tuning Unlimited
It does seem relatively cheaper than spoon, and from being J's I would've thought they'd add at least a three digit pricing

+1 on the group buy as Old School suggested!
