Default Question about a Back up cam

I am thinking about replacing the factory audio unit with a aftermarket GPS unit (leaning towards the Kenwood 7160) and at the same time putting in a backup camera.

While I was talking with the installer he mentioned that there could be some interference to the backup camera because of the battery in the hatch. Has anyone heard or experianced this?

Thanks for any info/insight.

If you use a good quality cable with adequate shielding, I wouldn't think there would be a problem.

just get a decent camera... mine is fine in the daytime but night-time resolution is complete crap.

Details of my backup cam are in the link found in my sig.

I have the Pioneer backup camara installed in my system and I have good day and night quality. I don't see any feedback from the batterys in the back, also my amps I have installed just above them do not get any feed back from them.

Awesome, thanks for the responses.

Now I just have to decide between the Pioneer and the Kenwood units.
