Default HKS/Spoon/K&N Intake?

Anyone have any thoughts, dyno sheets, or opinions on which intake/filter is the best for the cost?

If those are your choices I'd say K&N. Spoon is just a filter, and the hks doesn't make much power I believe 2hp, for 400$ no thanks.

My opinion: HKS RSK all the way. Although you may be paying a little bit more, but that extra penny is worth it... the sound of it when you put you foot down on sport mode puts a smile on your face always when supported with a decent exhaust system (I have a custom system with P2R downpipe) it sounds even better.

Honda CR-Z sounds good ! Stock vs light tuned HKS + Spoon parts. - YouTube

had HKS - pricey for the gain but the part is very high quality
K&N makes more power and is cheaper
Spoon is a drop in filter and doesnt really compare to changing the whole intake.

basically what JCRZ said. lol

If youre open to options, the Black Label makes more power than all, has larger piping, is convertible between SRI and CAI and can be had for a good price in the classifieds section (Im selling a full CAI / SRI and another member is selling an SRI only)

good luck

I have the hks and I love it. The k&n is cheaper but the part is not as high quality as the hks in my opinion. The k&n is also the butt of jokes on a lot of higher performance cars. But in the end its up to you.

^ ? whats wrong with K&N on other cars? I'd like to know. Seems like a semi - troll comment...

Also, one could argue that the K&N heatsheild and the way the filter sits closer to the front of the car makes it a better intake than the HKS and the dyno results would seem to prove that also. Have you even seen it - I mean up close - to judge that its not a good part?

K&N for any car is always top notch and one of the most powerful intakes. He's just glorifying the hks bc it's what he has.

Not meaning to troll. And yes I've seen it. Just saying what I've experienced. To each their own. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I've bought the Spoon drop in filter, but I've not recieved it yet. I will post more on it once I recieve it. Though I doubt I can expect that much from a drop in filter.
