Default axle-back cr-zparts exhaust review

Hey guys - just had my axle back installed.... very happy with the sound! It's very deep and throaty, and doesn't drone at high speed.

I have a K&N drop in installed, but beyond that everything else is stock. Figured I'd start with the easiest installs and see if it suits my needs.

I'll have to see what mpg gains I get as I drive. As for performance, it's not a major improvement, but it feels like it takes a bite of the 'laggy' feel with this car when you punch the throttle.

I might get the mid-pipe down the road, right now i'm saving for rpf1s .

Congrats..

We could probably do a search and find out which axle-back you got - but for the benefit of this thread.. Which one did you get?

- where's the love.. But back to topic now that the cr-z parts.com vendor relationship and KSK is apparent to everyone - including me @ xaax - looking forward to pics and maybe your sound clip..

I'll try to post a sound clip soon. I'm also noticing I'm rev matching my up/down shifts a ton better now. Listening to the exhaust helps a great deal, before it was way too quiet and was missing slightly from time to time.

I have the same one and the midpipde and downpipe. I'm very pleased with the setup. Northbridge thought it was too loud, but it doesn't bother me as much. I could see how some would prefer a quieter exhaust though.

I'm going to be pretty sure its too loud because there is no resonator in the mid pipe. All mid pipes should have resonators.

i'm pretty happy with just the axle back so far, when i step on the gas i don't get much of the laggy feel anymore. if i go with a midpipe, i might try to the t1r.
